i love this photo. our turntable is at our beach house along with our collection of roughly 1000 vinyl records. as much as i love the fluidity and ubiquity of the digital music experience, i also love the sound and tactile experience of vinyl. CDs on the other hand, are the worst of both and thankfully are going away fast.

Its been at least 25 years since I’ve played a record. I’ve been itching to get a turntable agin but been putting it off until I did some research.
But Ben Kweller’s new Changing Horses recently came out on vinyl. So I decided to just do it.
I ended up ordering this Rega P1 turntable. It looks great and the reviews are solid. I can’t wait to get it.
I’m thinking the very next record I’m buying will be Quadrophenia. (I wish I didn’t throw out all those records after college.)

Yeah, i thought about selling my decks and records, but i decided against it.Now I am the only one around to inherit great 60s records from my whole family.
I mean, i sold my baggy pants, i need to have something funny to show my kids. Also, i have pretty great musical taste (no, you can’t argue that), so all of my Hiphop records are teh AWESOME.
